Name Our Turtle Competition
As part of our ongoing mission to make Rushden Lakes even greener and more efficient, we’ve welcomed a fin-tastic new resident to our beautiful boardwalk — a friendly turtle installation that’s sure to make a splash.
Crafted from recycled materials, including aluminium and plastic bottles, this eco-loving turtle is here to help us tackle plastic waste. It happily collects plastic bottles, which will then be donated to a local school for creative art projects that will be proudly displayed at Rushden Lakes. Talk about turning the tide on waste.
But there’s just one important thing missing… a name. And that’s where you come in.
Enter your turtle-y amazing name suggestion via the webform HERE, and you could swim away with an amazing prize.
1 x prize: £200 worth of physical gift cards* for Rushden Lakes brands (maximum of 2 gift cards), a cuddly Thimble Turtle Jellycat, and a WWF ‘Adopt A Sea Turtle’ in your name.
And that’s not all — the winning name will be proudly displayed at the turtle installation, right alongside your own name, for everyone to see.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Details of collecting the prize will be provided via email. We will never send out links or ask for card details
One winner will be selected from all eligible entrants and judged by a small panel of judges against specific criteria after the competition close date of Friday 20 February 2026
No replacement vouchers or prizes are available if lost, damaged or redeemed.
Not transferable.
No cash value.
Prizes must be collected from Rushden Lakes Customer Services. Prizes cannot be posted.
The winner will be asked to show their ID on collection and will be required to have their photograph taken for promotional purposes, including digital and press. Quotes may be requested.
The winner must respond via email to accept the prize within 7 days of being notified. Failure to do so will result in the prize being forfeited.
The winners name and location will be displayed on a plaque at the turtle installation alongside the turtle's name.

The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom, aged 18 years or over except employees of Rushden Lakes or shops within and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions

Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person may be disqualified
Closing date for entry is 6PM on Friday 20 February 2026. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition
The prize is as stated on this webpage, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice
To enter the competition, entrants must complete the entry form on the Mailchimp webpage and enter the requested details correctly, including a Turtle Name. One winner will be chosen from all eligible entries received, judged by a small panel of judges against specific criteria and chosen at the discretion of the judging panel after the close date. The decision of the judging panel is final
The winner will be notified within 14 days of the competition close date
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner
The promoter will notify the winner when the prize can be collected from Rushden Lakes Customer Services
The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England
The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry information. Any personal data relating to the winner, or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions

You are providing your information to Rushden Lakes and/or its agents and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with Rushden Lakes’ Privacy Policy
Rushden Lakes shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage
Rushden Lakes also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control
