Looking for ways to keep the kids entertained this summer? From sandy play and wildlife adventures to climbing walls, water sports and family dining offers, Rushden Lakes has everything you need for a memorable day out. Whether you're planning a full day of activities or just a few hours of family fun, there's something for every age to enjoy throughout the school holidays.

Enjoy Summer at Rushden Lakes Beach

There is no need to head to the coast this summer, as Rushden Lakes Beach is back until 31st August. Children can dig in the sand, build sandcastles and enjoy classic seaside fun right in the heart of the destination.

The beach is joined by traditional fairground-style games, including Hook a Duck, Alley Can and Darts, giving families even more ways to play together. When it is time for a treat, choose from delicious summer favourites including churros, chocolate strawberries, Greek wraps, slush, sweets and more.

The beach is open 10am–7pm Monday to Friday and Sundays, and 10am–8pm on Saturdays (weather permitting), with no booking required, making it the perfect stop during your summer visit.

Discover Nature with Rushden Rangers

Young explorers can enjoy a different wildlife adventure every Wednesday with Rushden Rangers, delivered in partnership with The Wildlife Trust.

Running until 26th August, each weekly session explores a new theme, from brilliant beavers and bugs to terrific trees, wild weather and wildlife gardening. Packed with hands-on activities, crafts and opportunities to learn about local conservation, Rushden Rangers offers a fun way for children to connect with nature throughout the holidays.

Four pre-bookable sessions take place every Wednesday at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.

Follow the Summer Trail

Add even more adventure to your visit with the Rushden Lakes Summer Trail, running until 31st August. Pick up a free trail booklet from Customer Services, then explore the destination to find 10 hidden letters across selected stores and leisure attractions.

Unscramble the letters to reveal a summertime word before returning your completed booklet to Customer Services to claim a free treat. You'll also be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win one of three £50 Rushden Lakes gift cards.

With no booking required and free to take part, the Summer Trail is a fun way to explore Rushden Lakes while keeping little adventurers entertained throughout the holidays.

Enjoy Great Value Family Films at Cineworld

Take a break from the summer sunshine and enjoy a family trip to Cineworld, where there's plenty of ways to save on the big screen experience.

The Family Ticket lets adults pay kids' prices, making it even easier to enjoy the latest family blockbusters together. Little movie fans can also enjoy Movies for Juniors, with selected family favourites available from just £2 per ticket for both children and accompanying adults.

For parents with little ones, Cinebabies screenings provide a relaxed cinema environment with lower sound levels, dimmed lighting and space for pushchairs, while children under 18 months go free. And no cinema trip is complete without snacks, with exclusive family snack bundles and Munchboxes available to keep everyone fuelled for the film.

Whether it's introducing little ones to their first cinema experience or catching one of this summer's exciting new releases, including PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Cineworld is the perfect place for a family day out.
