Did you know that poetry can have a positive effect on those suffering with issues like mental health?
We’re delighted to be working with local poet James McInerney who hails from Northampton and suffered from depression himself and found poetry to be an amazing outlet.
Since that discovery, James has been using his own poetry to raise awareness of mental health and depression in an attempt to help those who are currently suffering and show them that they are not alone. James’ work has already appeared in various locations around London as well as some areas of Australia and the USA and we’re thrilled to be able use the beautiful setting of Garden Square to showcase his work ‘closer to home’.
If you’d like to enjoy his poetry for yourself it will be on display from January 6th onwards in Garden Square at Rushden Lakes.
James will also be visiting Garden Square at Rushden Lakes in person on Saturday, January 11th at 1pm so feel free to come down and meet him.
