With the Easter holidays fast approaching, school is almost out!! A heatwave is loading and we’re getting ready to indulge in all the fabulous treats this half term has in-store at Rushden Lakes, not to mention lots of chocolate! We’ve trawled the site to list incredible activities to note and the must-have treasures to bag before you get stuck into an Easter break to remember.

Gifting Ideas:

It wouldn’t be Easter if you didn’t have a chocolate overload to get you excited and give you the sugar rush, we all like to enjoy. To pay homage to the season Next has gone all out this year with the classic flavours and packaged them with a personal touch to make your gifting extra sweet. Choose from a selection including Cadbury’s Crème Eggs, Mini Eggs, Dairy Milk, Twirl and Whispa. DINING OUT:

With all the seasonal excitement you’ll need to fuel the family with some good wholesome food. Nando’s have a varied kids’ menu featuring chicken and meat-free meals. If they like a little kick in their flavours, then opt for the chicken breast burger infused with Peri-Peri layered with a brioche bun for a sweet treat. Pair with the dino sides such as chips and corn on the cob. And don’t forget the bottomless drinks! They will take the pressure off your pocket and keep the family hydrated throughout your trip.

 

Dining with older kids? Zizzi is just the ticket. With an Italian inspired menu packed with an exotic infusion of herbs and flavours, indulge in some house favourites including the delicious Rustica Margherita (which is everyone’s go-to!), made with their signature Rustica style and featuring tomato, mozzarella and fresh basil. But, if a bowl of pasta is more your fancy, opt for their classic Spaghetti Bolognese, which is their take on a crowd favourite, made with a beef & tomato ragù.

TGI Fridays are going above and beyond to pack a punch with their menu. Designed to cater to the whole family, if you get down to Fridays before 5pm Monday to Friday you can enjoy 2 courses for only £15. Choose from the appetisers and main meal options including their famous Mozzarella Dippers and the Friday’s Glazed burger coated in a Legendary Glaze or the Chicken Wings tossed in Franks Red Hot sauce before diving into a Steak Fajita, because you can’t beat-a Fajita!

To dine out for the Little League, a range of smaller dishes from £5.25 are also available and all served with tasty sticks of apple, cucumber and carrot so you’ve got one of their five-a-day covered. And to cater to the bambino’s, TGI Fridays are offering free baby food for customers on request.

Things To Do:

Looking for some outdoor fun? Well, we have news! Canoe2 are open from 1st April and you can get back on the wide-open waters to enjoy all that Rushden Lakes truly has to offer.

Katakanus are great for up to six people and everybody gets a chance to paddle, whilst the ever-popular Swan and Dragon Pedalos are suitable for 1-5 people and puts the whole family to work. Pedalos are priced at £22 for a half-an-hour ride, £37 for a full hour and Katakanus £24 for half-an-hour ride and £39 for a full hour (be sure to look out for the car-shaped Pedalos launching this Spring!).
