Party Season Style At Rushden Lakes

By Charlene Bent

With the party season upon us, it’s only natural that our wardrobe will lend itself to a more sparkly selection. It is definitely the season to be jolly and I have hand-picked my favourite buys to see you through the festivities and make your style echo the fabulous Christmas cheer.

Forget the little black dress (I know, that may be incredibly controversial) but, this season is all about drama. Nothing is off limits, from ruffles, feathered embellishments, through to rainbow sequins, see every kind of fashion catwalk style made ready-to-wear at Rushden Lakes.

The fabulous Robert Goddard, (otherwise known as the safe haven for luxe and glamour) have picked some treats for fashion lovers. With an exclusive Ted Baker range, the dark afternoons and colder days are all made right with this faux fur coat in the must have colour for the season (£259), paired with this sequin skirt (£179), relaxed fit metallic t-shirt (£49) and suede ankle boots (£145) which can take you from day to night.

If you’re going to don the key colours for this time of year, then red or jewel tone greens is the way to truly pop in your outfit. This lace maxi gown from Phase Eight is £350 and is the perfect pick for the hostess with the mostest. Alternatively, for a dress to accentuate your shape, opt for this Sinitta Maxi dress at £130. For a more modern approach with a minimal but, equally dramatic style this Livi maxi dress for £120 works well for a taller figure and so does this maeve frill jumpsuit for a smart/casual piece.

House of Fraser are spreading the Christmas spirit with a shopping treat that every Christmas shopper loves to hear… 20% off everything!! You can shop until your heart is content knowing that you are able truly indulge and get more for your money.

French Connection are known for showcasing designer styles at a fraction of the price every season. The collection captures the essence of the trends whilst, keeping their range practical for everyday life. This lace number pays homage to the winter florals we’ve been seeing, it was £250 and has been reduced to £125. It teams beautifully with these Kurt Geiger London Bond court shoes at £149 but, if you feel like nodding to the metallic trend this Bardot BD party sequin dress is just the ticket.

No party look is complete without a little bling and this season it is all about gems, jewels and tones. Keep it sweet with a piece to off-set your outfit by adding a little Swarovski treasure. I popped into the Rushden Lakes store to browse a selection of jewellery, watches and rings and the collection boasts current trends and abstract styles which are big for A/W19.

So, before you rock around the Christmas tree, be sure to head to the only destination that guarantee’s a very Merry Christmas…. Rushden Lakes has your festive fashion covered!
