Back To Normal

Saying goodbye to the sun, the freedom and the summer holidays can often feel like the end of the world! What you may dread the most though, is getting back into your everyday routine post-vacay. When you’re traveling and on your holibobs, naturally you forget about the meaning of ‘routine’ and any life responsibilities that you once had before you left! We’ve got a few helpful tips and tricks on how to get yourself back on track and back to routine.

Meals in minutes

The last thing you want to do after navigating that dreaded airport and unpacking, is spend your time on complicated cooking AND washing-up those dreaded dishes. Marks and Spencer’s Cook with M&S range makes it easy to serve up a quick, delicious dinner… in just minutes!

When it comes to needing a quick-fix, the ingredient is… well, ingredients! M&S Pea and Mint Mash is your best friend when time is of the essence. It makes a vibrant, potato-free side served along pan-fried fish or chicken, or even a main meal itself stirred through risotto for a flavour burst. YUM!

Transitioning from your summer to autumn wardrobe

That transition period between two seasons can not only bring back those post-holiday blues but can be a tricky time for closets everywhere! But it doesn’t all have to be doom and gloom. When it comes to dressing for autumn, flexibility is key. Wearing looks that can carry you from the office to drinks out with the ladies after work are an absolute essential.

Blazers are the reigning piece for your 9-5 during the autumn season, that will become a staple item in your wardrobe. Next has a fabulous collection of blazers that will have you looking ready to conquer any workday. A tailored fit will complement your shape like this Grey Check Blazer for £60, its checked pattern and added stretch make it super easy to mix and match throughout the week.

How to keep your weekends sacred

When you’ve got a busy schedule, weekends become sacred to you for that all-important time with your family and friends. Here at Rushden Lakes, the world really is your oyster!

You could explore 360 Play, which is bursting with imagination and creativity; climb the giant three-storey play-frame or ride the carousel all day long. It’s the perfect place to keep not just the little ones entertained, but the whole family – rain or shine! For the sunnier days? There is an outdoor play area with an all-new sand pit which is perfect for your little ones. Added bonus? Your small fee includes all rides and time is unlimited!

We hope these tips and tricks will help you swing right back into your routine, now the summer holidays have come to an end!
