Rushden Lakes launches recruitment programme to support local people into employment.

Recruit Rushden Lakes is a free recruitment and training programme, which will operate in partnership with Jobcentre Plus. The service will connect a talented local workforce with new jobs in their area, as well as delivering training and support to help local unemployed people into work.

Set up and funded by The Crown Estate, the service is available to retailers, restaurateurs and leisure companies based at Rushden Lakes to supplement their existing employment programmes. Recruit Rushden Lakes is also open to businesses in Rushden town centre and the surrounding area to support their recruitment needs.

Recruit Rushden Lakes is about matching businesses with new employees, and giving those employees the best induction into their new workplace”.

A specialist workplace coordinator will support candidates with workshops, training programmes and one-to-one workplace mentoring. They will also work with employers and agencies to match local jobseekers to vacancies, and deliver skilled, job-ready candidates. Recruit Rushden Lakes will also provide local unemployed people with retail and hospitality training courses, delivered by Tresham College of Further and Higher Education.

Recruit Rushden Lakes will launch later this spring, and for more details about the recruitment programme or how to get involved please contact Faheem Qureshi.
